Urawa clinch All-Japan Youth C’ship
Urawa Reds clinched the Prince Takamado Cup All-Japan Youth Under-18 Championship for the first time by romping over their Nagoya Grampus counterparts 9-1 in the final on Monday at Saitama Stadium.
Naoki Yamada scored a hat trick to highlight the young Reds’ victory and won the Golden Boot prize of the tournament.
Reds opened the scoring through Yamada in the fifth minute and went on to overwhelm Nagoya with their fierce attack, scoring five goals in the first half. Yamada added two more strikes in the second half in completing his hat trick.
