Tsuzuki called up to Japan squad
Japan coach Takeshi Okada called up Urawa Reds goalkeeper Ryota Tsuzuki in place of injured Nagoya Grampus goalkeeper Seigo Narazaki for the Japan squad to play Syria in a Kirin Challenge Cup friendly in Kobe on Thursday and Qatar in a World Cup final-round qualifier on November 19.
Narazaki injured a ligament in his right ankle in a training session last week. The Nagoya player is expected to be out of action for two to three weeks. Narazaki has played in the last 10 matches for Japan.
