Sapo resigns as Futsal Japan coach
Futsal Japan coach Sergio Sapo quit his post on Friday at the end of his contract with the JFA.
The 50-year-old Brazilian took the helm in November 2003 and led Japan to victory in the AFC Futsal Championship in 2006. He also coached the Boys in Blue at the 2004 and 2008 World Cups, where Japan’s challenge ended in the group stage.
