TV Tokyo joins Japan's 2022 Bid

TV Tokyo has joined Japan’s 2022 World Cup bidding campaign by signing on as an official bid partner, Japan’s Bid Committee announced Monday.

With the arrival of TV Tokyo, 16 companies are now official partners.
Japan are bidding to host the quadrennial FIFA tournament in 2022, following their co-hosting experience with neighbors Korea Republic in 2002.
England, Russia, the United States, Australia, Spain/Portugal and Holland/Belgium are bidding for both the 2018 and 2022 events, while Korea Republic, Qatar and Japan are in the running for 2022 only.
