Nagoya to play Sepahan in Asian Futsal Club Championship

Japanese F. League champions Nagoya Oceans will play Foolad Mahan Sepahan of hosts Iran in the inaugural AFC Asian Futsal Club Championship, which will take place from March 4 to 12, it was announced on Monday.

The two-time Japanese champions are in Group A and will open their Asian campaign against Stroitel Zarafshan of Uzbekistan on March 4, before playing AUB Altyn Tash Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan on March 6 and Sepahan on March 9.
Group A has one less team than Group B as Nawrouz FC was forced to withdraw from the tournament after Iraq was suspended by FIFA.
The top two finishers from each group will advance to the semifinals on March 11.
Group B features Al-Sadd of Qatar, New South Wales Thunder of Australia, Port Authority Thailand, Pro’s Café of Lebanon and Wuhan Dilong of China.
The final will take place on March 12.
All matches will be held at Pirouzi Stadium in Esfahan.
