Japan U-19s to take part in Eight Nations Cup in South Africa

The Japan Under-19 team will take part in the Eight Nations International Cup from May 26 to June 3 in Cape Town, South Africa.

    YOSHIDA Yasushi’s side will play Brazil, Egypt and Cameroon in Group B. The tournament is part of their preparations for qualifiers for the AFC Under-19 Championship later this year.
    Hosts South Africa will play in Group A along with Argentina, Nigeria and Kenya.
    The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals on June 1. The final and the third-place playoff will be held on June 3.
