INAC beat Korean champions in Japan-Korea Women’s Championship

Nadeshiko League champions INAC Kobe Leonessa beat Korean Republic champions Goyang Daekyo Noonnoppi Kangaroos 3-0 in the one-off Japan-Korea Women’s Championship match on Thursday at Home's Stadium in Kobe.

Japan attacker Shinobu Ohno put the Japanese champions in front eight minutes into the game.
Rookie forward Mai Kyokawa doubled INAC’s lead in the 51st minute with a header off a Nahomi Kawasumi cross after coming off the bench late in the first half. That was her first strike as a professional player after joining Kobe for the upcoming season.
Three minutes from time, 18-year-old Kyokawa scored INAC’s third off a cross from Korean international Ji Sun Yun.
Japanese teams have won the annual competition three times in a row since the one-off final between the two countries was launched in 2010.
Goyang Daekyo won the Korean league in 2009, the inaugural season of the Korean women’s league, and again last year.
